What is a Hybrid Cloud

A half breed cloud is a coordinated cloud administration using both private and open mists to perform particular capacities inside of the same association. All distributed computing administrations ought to offer certain efficiencies to contrasting degrees yet open cloud administrations are prone to be more cost effective and versatile than private mists. Thusly, an association can amplify their efficiencies by utilizing open cloud administrations for all non-delicate operations, just depending on a private cloud where they oblige it and guaranteeing that the greater part of their stages are consistently incorporated.
Mixture cloud models can be executed in various ways:
Separate cloud suppliers group up to give both private and open administrations as an incorporated administration
Individual cloud suppliers offer a complete crossover bundle
Associations who deal with their private mists themselves sign up to an open cloud administration which they then incorporate into their framework
Practically speaking, an endeavor could execute half breed cloud facilitating to have their e-business site inside of a private cloud, where it is secure and adaptable, yet their leaflet site in an open cloud, where it is more savvy (and security is to a lesser degree a worry). On the other hand, an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offering, for instance, could take after the crossover cloud demonstrate and furnish a monetary business with capacity for customer information inside of a private cloud, yet then permit coordinated effort on task arranging reports in the general population cloud – where they can be gotten to by various clients from any advantageous area.

A mixture cloud arrangement, for example, crossover facilitating, can offer its clients the accompanying elements: Adaptability; whilst private mists do offer a certain level of versatility relying upon their designs (whether they are facilitated inside or remotely for instance), open cloud administrations will offer adaptability with less limits in light of the fact that asset is pulled from the bigger cloud base. By moving whatever number non-delicate capacities as could be expected under the circumstances to general society cloud it permits an association to profit by open cloud adaptability whilst lessening the requests on a private cloud.

Taken a toll efficiencies; again open mists are liable to offer more critical economies of scale, (for example, unified administration), thus more prominent expense efficiencies, than private mists. Half and half mists accordingly permit associations to get to these reserve funds for whatever number business capacities as would be prudent whilst as yet keeping delicate operations secure.

Security; the private cloud component of the half and half cloud demonstrate not just gives the security where it is required for touchy operations yet can likewise fulfill administrative prerequisites for information taking care of and stockpiling where it is pertinent Adaptability; the accessibility of both secure asset and versatile practical open asset can give associations more chances to investigate distinctive operational streets

What is a Private Cloud?

A private cloud is a particular model of cloud computing that involves a distinct and secure cloud based environment in which only the specified client can operate. As with other cloud models, private clouds will provide computing power as a service within a virtualised environment using an underlying pool of physical computing resource. However, under the private cloud model, the cloud (the pool of resource) is only accessible by a single organisation providing that organisation with greater control and privacy.

The technical mechanisms used to provide the different services which can be classed as being private cloud services can vary considerably and so it is hard to define what constitutes a private cloud from a technical aspect. Instead such services are usually categorised by the features that they offer to their client. Traits that characterise private clouds include the ring fencing of a cloud for the sole use of one organisation and higher levels of network security. They can be defined in contrast to a public cloud which has multiple clients accessing virtualised services which all draw their resource from the same pool of servers across public networks. Private cloud services draw their resource from a dsitinct pool of physical computers but these may be hosted internally or externally and may be accessed across private leased lines or secure encrypted connections via public networks.

The additional security offered by the ring fenced cloud model is ideal for any organisation, including enterprise, that needs to store and process private data or carry out sensitive tasks. For example, a private cloud service could be utilised by a financial company that is required by regulation to store sensitive data internally and who will still want to benefit from some of the advantages of cloud computing within their business infrastructure, such as on demand resource allocation.

The private cloud model is closer to the more traditional model of individual local access networks (LANs) used in the past by enterprise but with the added advantages of virtualisation. The features and benefits of private clouds therefore are:
Higher security and privacy; public clouds services can implement a certain level of security but

private clouds – using techniques such as distinct pools of resources with access restricted to connections made from behind one organisation’s firewall, dedicated leased lines and/or on-site
internal hosting – can ensure that operations are kept out of the reach of prying eyes
More control; as a private cloud is only accessible by a single organisation, that organisation will have the ability to configure and manage it inline with their needs to achieve a tailored network solution. However, this level of control removes somes the economies of scale generated in public clouds by having centralised management of the hardware
Cost and energy efficiency; implementing a private cloud model can improve the allocation of resources within an organisation by ensuring that the availability of resources to individual departments/business functions can directly and flexibly respond to their demand. Therefore, although they are not as cost effective as a public cloud services due to smaller economies of scale and increased management costs, they do make more efficient use of the computing resource than traditional LANs as they minimise the investment into unused capacity. Not only does this provide a cost saving but it can reduce an organisation’s carbon footprint too Improved reliability; even where resources (servers, networks etc.) are hosted internally, the creation of virtualised operating environments means that the network is more resilient to individual failures across the physical infrastructure. Virtual partitions can, for example, pull their resource from the remaining unaffected servers. In addition, where the cloud is hosted with a third party, the organisation can still benefit from the physical security afforded to infrastructure hosted within data centres Cloud bursting; some providers may offer the opportunity to employ cloud bursting, within a private cloud offering, in the event of spikes in demand. This service allows the provider to switch certain non-sensitive functions to a public cloud to free up more space in the private cloud for the sensitive functions that require it. Private clouds can even be integrated with public cloud services to form hybrid clouds where non-sensitive functions are always allocated to the public cloud to maximise the efficiencies on offer.

MozyPro Business

Pros
Files are encrypted before they leave your computer.
Cons
This provider does not offer branding capabilities.
The Verdict:
 9.07/10
The lack of unlimited plans is a drawback but many businesses do not need that much storage, and MozyPro offers most other features we were looking for.

MozyPro represents the priciest option of the business cloud storage providers we considered based on the size of the plan you choose. This service has a good set of features for small businesses. If you are looking to move your company data to the cloud, MozyPro is definitely worth your consideration. The plans associated with MozyPro range in size from 10GB up to 1TB of data. There are no unlimited plans with MozyPro. That could be a drawback for some businesses. You can choose a monthly, one-year or two-year plan.
MozyPro makes it easy to start the changeover to cloud services with its Data Shuttle service. It begins when Mozy sends you a drive in the mail. You select the data you want to save in the cloud, transfer it to the shuttle drive and ship it back to the Mozy data center; your part is done at this point. Once Mozy business cloud storage transfers your data from the shuttle drive to the cloud, your initial backup is complete. The Data Shuttle simplifies the initial backup process, saving you the trouble of uploading your data over the wire. Incremental backups in the future will only save changes to your data rather than re-saving entire files, so that will save time and bandwidth. The Shuttle is a one-time service and costs extra, but it should make the initial cloud transition much easier.
Once you have done an initial backup, MozyPro lets you decide how often to do subsequent backups of your data. You can set it to back up your files when computers are in idle, and you can access older versions of files as needed. MozyPro does not keep your deleted files for very long, though, at least not as long as competing services. MozyPro will hold on to them for 60 days in case you change your mind.
MozyPro offers military-grade encryption (256-bit AES) for all data before it leaves your computer. It is then sent over a secure connection and stored in data centers in remote locations. MozyPro can create an encryption key for you, or you can opt to create your own encryption key – a good option because then no one outside of your company has access to your data.
This cloud service can also claim SSAE 16 and ISO 27001 certification. The SSAE 16 certification means Mozy has met strict standards for data security set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. ISO 27001 is an international standard for protecting information.
The collaboration features were good but not great with MozyPro. Unlike other providers, Mozy doesn't allow you to put your label on email notifications or web interfaces when you need to share a file from the cloud with clients. However, the mobile phone access is great. You can use your iPhone or Android device to search, view, download and send any MozyPro file you like.
MozyPro really stands out for customer service. There are a number of ways to contact the department, including email, phone and chat, and the people are knowledgeable and helpful. Many of its support options are available around the clock, too.

MozyPro Summary:
9.1/10
Even without unlimited storage plans and a few misses on collaboration features, MozyPro is still a good small business cloud storage provider. It has excellent customer support, which can really matter when you are in a crisis. Also, all of the most important security features are there and quite strong.

WHY USE BUSINESS CLOUD STORAGE SERVICES?

The top performers in our review are Zoolz, the Gold Award winner;OpenDrive, the Silver Award winner; and JustCloud, the Bronze Award winner. Here's more on choosing a service to meet your needs, along with detail on how we arrived at our ranking of the 10 best business cloud storage services.
With business cloud storage, companies looking to preserve and share sensitive information now have complete management over every important document. While the cloud is not the only options for storing files, it is one of the safest and most cost effective. When you store your company files in the cloud, you can access information from anywhere and easily share data, and you don’t have to worry about the costs associated with maintaining on-site servers.
Using a cloud storage provider is essential for any size of business in the current economy. In the event of a natural disaster, theft or poor management of documents, it is essential to have copies of each document online. Beyond the security provided by these services, the biggest benefit of cloud storage is the instant sharing capability through real-time collaboration. For more information, check out our articles on business cloud storage.

WHAT LEVEL OF CLOUD STORAGE DO YOU NEED?

In this comparison, we cover small to medium-sized business plans. While every business featured in our lineup provides differing coverage, we evaluated the flexibility of the plans starting with 500GB up to an unlimited amount of space.
For small to medium businesses, the right amount of space is up to about 10TB. While a few of the services on the lineup, like Hightail and Dropbox, offer unlimited amount of space, we found that more isn’t always better. This is because unlimited space often comes with excessive costs. For example, purchasing more than 10TB of space can costs you thousands of dollars per month, and with these unlimited plans, you are often paying for data that you are not using. For small businesses with a workforce around 30 people, plans with 10TB should more than cover their data needs. Larger companies should look to enterprise solutions for cloud business storage.
If you are looking for a cloud storage bundle that is more personal and only meant to be shared with a small group of people, we also offer a comparison on online data backup. In that site, you can read about syncing your cloud with a personal mobile device.

FEATURES TO EXPECT FROM BUSINESS CLOUD STORAGE SERVICES

Some features are especially important in business cloud storage. Many companies advertise and promote these features as part of their packages. While many of these advertised features are key, all of the companies we reviewed have them. So, no matter what the marketing material says, don’t base your choices solely on these features. Since they are industry standards, you should expect these of any business cloud storage company.
Automatic Backup
Automatic backup is an extremely useful tool that allows you to schedule backups for your information. This gives you peace of mind, knowing that your data will be recoverable in the event of an outage.
Scheduling your data backup is an essential piece of business cloud storage. Every company on our lineup offers this feature, so it isn't included on our matrix, though we have verified its presence in each program.
Support & Accessibility
Some other common features, which we verified but are not found on the matrix, are help and support options and apps that give you access to your storage.
Every service on our lineup provides support over email and telephone. We verified these services but did not include them on our lineup so that we could focus on less common features, such as a full online knowledge base, FAQs and live chat.
We also didn’t include line items about accessibility for Android or Apple devices to access your accounts. Each service allows you to access your files through your Android and Apples devices; this is now considered an industry-standard feature.
The Price of Business Cloud Storage
Cost is a factor that requires close attention. In our evaluation, we encountered misleading small print of the final cost for many of these cloud storage providers. For instance, the cost of Zoolz's basic business plan equates to $30 a month and covers up to 15 computers. More users require an additional cost of about $10 per month.
Compare that plan to that of Mozy. The monthly business plan for Mozy equals out to $15 per month, which is clearly lower than Zoolz. However, that cost is per user, per month, which means the cost will quickly add up and eclipse the cost for Zoolz.
The benefit of doing a user-based monthly cost is that you get a large amount of storage for around $10 to $15 each person and only have to pay for the people that you share information with. The downside is the fluctuating cost that will be extensive if your business grows quickly.
We also found costs of data made a difference in the cost of the plan. If you want to upgrade your plan for more data per month, this often costs hundreds of dollars. For example, an additional 10TB of data could cost as much as $700 per month.
Security of Business Cloud Services
Each product on our lineup offers secure storage for your files with features like passwords and user-generated encryption keys. They also add encryption to files at 128 bits or more. Though, if security is something you are especially worried about while accessing the cloud and storing sensitive documents, you can take extra precaution to protect your information by using virtual private networks when you connect to the cloud and store your data. You can also look into internet security suites, which fill the gaps in your security networks by rooting out viruses, Trojan horses and malware.

CLOUD STORAGE: WHAT WE TESTED, WHAT WE FOUND

To test business cloud storage services, we received trial accounts of each company’s comparable business or pro cloud storage plans. We conducted tests on these accounts independently, without any influence or input from the companies.
We tested these services on their document recovery and editing capabilities as well as how intuitive their online dashboards were. We also tested aspects of online storage like sharing functions, upload speeds with large-batch document transfers, and the ability to add and manage additional users.
The results of these tests helped us find the best performers in business cloud storage, the results of our tests were not provided to any of the companies prior to publication of the reviews.
Collaboration
Collaboration is a key reason that people choose business cloud storage. The ability to coordinate with others across your network, while still being able to control the security of your data, is a key consideration.
To test collaboration of business cloud storage, we evaluated the online and desktop platforms. In our evaluation, we tested the service’s abilities to add and manage new users and control the security of documents while sharing them inside and outside of the established cloud network.
In our collaboration tests, we also looked for types of files that services can download at once. Some services limited us to only downloading individual documents or zipped files, while the best services let you download folders without having to go through the extra steps of zipping your folders.
We created an objective collaboration score to help us measure these features. This score is based on how well you can manage and add new users and share and secure files in the cloud service’s platforms. Cloud services that give multiple options for sharing files, like email and social media links, while controlling user access received the highest collaboration scores.
During these tests, we found Mozy’s abilities to select your security levels based on the type of business you were running especially useful. For example, if you are storing medical files, you can select security settings that are fully HIPAA compliant.
Restoration
Another important feature in business cloud storage is backup and restoration. This includes how much data you can upload at one time without encountering lag times or having to upload information chunks separately.
In our tests, we created a Storage score to evaluate services’ capabilities to back up and restore data; it represents a cloud storage service's ability to restore deleted files on different platforms and to schedule backups on multiple devices. We looked for companies that made it simple to work between devices; for example, services that allowed us to delete files from the desktop and restore them from a mobile device or separate browser earned higher scores.
Dashboard & Desktop Installation
While all of the products on our lineup come with some learning curve, some are much more accessible and intuitive than others. While some setup is expected, the best products allow you to quickly begin uploading and sharing your files without installation hassle or delays.
Egnyte, though lower on the lineup, is quick to install and allows you to immediately start uploading files from both the desktop and cloud platforms.
Once past the download and set-up phases, we looked for specific ease of use features like drag-and-drop capabilities and quick installation of the desktop application. We also evaluated the dashboard layout and customization of alerts and reports.
OpenDrive stood out in our tests for its abilities to export reports as CSV files, personalized branding of reports and the ability to view activity logs for all use.
These features, which allow you to share, secure and upload your documents quickly, are the most important when looking for business cloud storage because they give you control over your documents.

OUR VERDICT AND RECOMMENDATION ON THE BEST BUSINESS CLOUD STORAGE SERVICES

The companies on our business cloud storage rankings allow you to start small and grow to a possible unlimited amount of storage. That amount is crucial if you make the move to back up every file and corporate database. Zoolz, OpenDrive and JustCloud are the top contenders in business cloud storage and deliver great service.
We found strengths and weaknesses with each service. Yet, we found services with unique aspects. Carbonite, which falls in the middle of the lineup, offers special discounts for non-profit and K-12 institutions, so if you work for one of these institutions, Carbonite is a good choice for you. We also found unique features in Dropbox; this household-name cloud storage provider allows you to save multiple versions of your documents. Finally, we found the scalability of CrashPlan to be useful for a quickly expanding company. This provider offers plans that range from basic to unlimited, so you do not need to worry about limits as your company and data needs grow.

OpenDrive can back up data from a range of sources, including external drives and servers. You can even mail the company your data during the initial backup process. OpenDrive's manual backup program is included in the price and allows you to transfer up to 1.5TB to an external hard drive and mail it to OpenDrive. By using that option, you don't have to painstakingly transfer your files using your bandwidth.
You can access various versions of each file, and OpenDrive even keeps files you delete on their servers for 120 days just in case you change your mind. OpenDrive does not use deduplication, a data compression technique that can improve the efficiency of your backups, nor does it allow you to filter for specific file extensions, but that will not make a noticeable difference for most users.

This is one of the few services that offers branding capabilities. When you need to share files with clients, you can customize your website interface with your company's logo and color scheme rather than OpenDrive graphics. You can even rename your drive something other than OpenDrive if you like. And if you send email notifications about shared files and folders, they can be branded with your custom logo.
OpenDrive is very serious about security and protects your data at every level. Your files are encrypted both in transit and at rest in OpenDrive data centers. You also get full administrative control with your account. You decide which users can view what, and you get a detailed record of what users are accessing. Passwords are required to use OpenDrive, and you can also mark some folders as private, off-limits even to some members of your own team.

Zoolz takes a unique approach to the safe-keeping of your data with a concept called cold storage. Plans are structured to keep some of your data immediately accessible and some cold. The cold files are kept in inactive storage and require three to five hours before you can access them; when you request files in cold storage, Zoolz retrieves them and sends you an email when they are ready to use.
A short wait for rarely used files is the trade-off for the lower costs of this storage. The cold storage costs less than half what it costs to store oft-accessed files, and you get to decide how much of your data you want in cold and how much in instant storage. Any files you may need to share or use in a hurry would be better in instant storage, but most companies have plenty of data that could be stored in cheaper cold storage, especially files that you just keep for auditing and archiving. Thumbnails are available for cold storage photo files so you know what you are requesting when you need to pull something out of cold storage.
Zoolz plans cover any amount of data you may have. Unlimited plans are available. You get to configure your plan for the amount of users and storage you need to suit your company.

The transition to business cloud storage can be daunting just based on the time it takes to transfer all of your data from your current storage modes. Zoolz allows you to use a utility to copy and encrypt data on external media and mail it to them. They transfer the files at their data centers, without access to any of it because of the encryption. Then they return the storage device to you. This mail-in service will save time for the initial backup, and you can also mail them more data in this way at any time during your Zoolz subscription.
You get a lot of control over subsequent backups with this service. You decide when automatic data backups will take place, and you decide what amount of bandwidth you are willing to dedicate to Zoolz backups. That way, your network's performance is never impacted. Zoolz even adjusts itself automatically to use less or more resources depending on your resource usage at the time of a backup. You can also instruct Zoolz to save general categories based on common phrases. You can set it to always back up all files that contain the word "work," for instance, or to always exclude those files from backup.
Other Zoolz efficiencies include file compression and deduplication, a data compression technique that prevents saving any repeat copies of pieces of data. Deduplication is employed at three different levels– your machine, companywide and globally. You can also control which file extensions you want to be part of ongoing backups. This can make Zoolz more efficient, performing regular backups only of the file types you know will change on a regular basis.

Zoolz protects your data with 256-AES encryption before it leaves your network, 256-SSL encryption in transit and 256-AES encryption while at rest. You can choose your own encryption key so that not even the Zoolz staff can see any of your data. Also, files and folders you need to share are password protected, and you can request a confirmation email that lets you know when files have reached the recipient. The administrative controls make it easy to deactivate users or passwords when needed for security purposes. You can also unshare links to files and folders. Zoolz uses the Amazon Web Services infrastructure to store your data in any of Amazon's secure storage facilities around the world.
Working with your files saved in Zoolz is easy. You can right-click to get options for common functions, like saving. You also have access to many keyboard shortcuts. Viewing older versions of files is always just a few clicks away. Zoolz will back up files that are in use. If you change your mind about a file you deleted, you will still be able to access it. Zoolz keeps deleted files forever.
You can share files backed up with Zoolz in many different ways – direct link, email or social media post. Administrative controls give you the power to set specific access levels for each employee. Zoolz makes it easy to set up your employees’ accounts with email invites.
Files you store on the Zoolz cloud – whether music, photos, text or other files – are accessible from anywhere in the world on any internet-enabled device, including mobile phones. The idea of storing some files in less accessible – and less expensive – storage makes so much sense. You rarely need an obscure accounting document from years ago. If you do need it, getting it out of Zoolz’ cold storage just takes a few hours. Compression, deduplication and other techniques mean Zoolz never wastes resources. You can store as much as you need with Zoolz for a very reasonable price.

You can browse your photos wherever you are the web clients, share them with your friends and family or download them to your mobile device to add a nice filter on Instagram. Your files are encrypted using a strong AES – 256 bit encryption. Probably there are better options if you are a small business owner. JustCloud’s privacy and backup scheduling functionality is somewhat limited to very basic features. You cannot assign user roles or manage several backup sets.

Backing up files of the JustCloud

It is very easy to get along with JustCloud’s backup software. The top navigation menu of the client gives you easy access to all the important features you might expect from a cloud backup service: you can click the backup button to select files for backup or use the drag and drop feature if you just need to save an important file to the cloud. If you need to view your files or notify a backup selection you can click on my files and have a look at everything you’ve backed up before.

Select your files with JustCloud

When you hit the backup button you can start with your final selection if you have not backed up before. If you’ve already selected your files JustCloud will start backing up immediately. If you want to adjust or modify your file selection just go to Settings and choose Manual Selection. In the file tree you can select or deselect files for backup.
Overall, we think those are a lot of steps to modify your backup selection. We would have loved to see a more easy access to your files and a more intuitive way to perform changes in your backup (for example increasing the file size limit).

File size limit of 5 GB

Speaking of file size limit. In previous versions of JustCloud they limited the file size to a couple of megabytes in the standard configuration which led many people to negative reviews because this option was hidden in the preference menu. Many people didn’t know about that and thought they had been backed up properly but instead they lost files because files larger than a couple of megabytes had been excluded. Luckily, JustCloud change that and allows files of 1 GB in size to be backed up automatically. You can purchase an upgrade to increase the file size limit to 5 GB.

Access your files online with JustCloud

That’s a limitation many services of the competition do not impose upon you. So if you’re looking to back up large files then you might want to have a look at Backblaze or CrashPlan.

Exclude certain file types

We like to the option that you can exclude certain file types with JustCloud. This can be useful if you knew that you don’t want to back up very sensitive files to the cloud. Then you could just choose the file extension and JustCloud would automatically ignore all files with that extension.
However, you have to be very careful not to exclude files you actually want backed up. Unfortunately, JustCloud doesn’t support automatic video backup. You select your videos manually if you want to have them backed up. Or you could purchase an additional upgrades for automatic video backup.

Schedule your backups

JustCloud automatically backs up your files once per day. You can schedule the time of the backup in the backup scheduling menu where you can set an exact schedule on which days you would like to backup to happen. You could for example program your backup to be performed when you’re at the office to save system resources when you’re working at home on your computer.

Advanced backup scheduling

If your backup folder rarely changes then you might consider manual backup which will save system resources and bandwidth. The only thing is that you have to remember to backup button to transfer your files to the cloud.

Power and CPU resources

We tested JustCloud with several computers; couple of slower, older ones and also modern iMacs. Up-to-date computers don’t seem to have a problem with the JustCloud software, yet if you’re working on an older computer there might be some performance issues with your backups. That’s why we recommend you have a look at the power and CPU options and only run backups when the screensaver is active and adjust how much of system resources you want the JustCloud client to use. That will help older computers perform reliable backups, too.

Restoring files with JustCloud

So the moment of horror has arrived. Your computer failed and you need to complete this project immediately. Fortunately, you have backed up your files with JustCloud! At least we hope you have chosen at least one backup service for your files. Just cut makes it easy to restore your files either from the software on your computer or you can download individual files from the web client.
You can either choose to restore all of your backup files in one sitting. Remember that this can take a lot of time depending on how much files you have. If you store, say, 200 GB then this might take a couple of hours until everything is restored. Restore time mostly depends on your Internet connection. We have found that our restores have been performing very well. Our test folder of 10 GB has been downloaded in just under an hour.

Restoring files with justCloud

If you’re in a hurry, we recommend you select individual files that you need to restore immediately and later opt for a full restore, for example, on a lazy Sunday. Unfortunately JustCloud doesn’t offer a “restore to door service” that some providers offer their clients for around $150 – sending you an external hard drive with your data on it can be a quick fix for urgent restore requests.

Features and Extras

JustCloud is a feature powerhouse. The only bad thing is many features have to be purchased extra. So the monthly fee adds up considerably to what is advertised on their website. We would like to see a more open disclosure on their pricing scheme. Nevertheless, let’s have a look at JustCloud’s feature set:

File synchronization and sharing

One of the best features of JustCloud is that not only you get a full-fledged online backup client but also you can synchronize your files with any device. If you frequently find yourself juggling your files across multiple services like Dropbox or Google Drive you can now switch to one single service. File synchronization is useful if you are working on multiple machines, for example if you have a desktop PC at home and a laptop that you take to work.
Creating a folder that syncs across those devices is pretty easy, in fact, it is created automatically for you so you just have to move the files you want to sync into that folder.

File versioning

JustCloud comes with seven day file versioning. That means if you accidentally overwrite a file and want to go back in time you can do that to up to seven days or purchase an extension that will allow you to go back infinitely. If you are a serious writer – that might come in handy because you can go back to a file version of a document that you like best and have accidentally or consciously saved. Just be sure to frequently backup your files or upgrade to hourly backups so that you always have the current version at hand.

Support

There are mixed reviews on the web when it comes to support. If you have a general inquiry about JustCloud, plans and pricing, functionality or feature the support team seems to be very responsive. However, if you have a more technical question it seems to be more difficult to get a satisfactory answer. Tech support appears to be overloaded with requests due to the popularity of that service and it takes time to get answers to your questions. Most of the time those answers are template generated and don’t fit very well to the question asked by the customer.

Final verdict

JustCloud certainly went through some ups and downs in the past but it has improved a lot over time. Online backup works flawlessly and the client does not crash. Restores are fast and reliable. If you are under a budget JustCloud is one of the best solutions you can buy for your money. However if you need more options expect to pay more for upgrades.
It is very hard to find a service that offers unlimited online backup and file synchronization for little money, unfortunately, JustCloud is not an exception. On the surface it seems very cheap (and it is!) – unless you plan on using more features than backup.
JustCloud is also a perfect solution for people who don’t want fancy options, who don’t want to fiddle around with extensive backup settings – it’s for people who really just want their backups to work knowing that their data is safe.
You can try JustCloud for free, however, only basic features are provided during that free trial.
